The design is organised around a pair of split mono-pitch (skillion) roof forms, creating a striking silhouette while breaking down the overall massing. These sculpted volumes are pulled apart and reconnected with a glazed link, forming a dramatic central entrance and a double-height space that anchors the home.

Full-height glazing is used to frame views and flood the interiors with natural light, strengthening the connection to the surrounding landscape. The arrival sequence is deliberately choreographed, revealing a sculptural staircase at the heart of the plan, both a focal point and a key organising element.

Internally, the layout is open, legible and flowing, with generous living spaces extending out into the garden. A restrained palette of crisp render, dark framed glazing and warm soffit detailing gives the building a refined, cohesive character.

Sustainability is embedded from the outset, with a fabric-first approach supported by integrated technologies including air source heat pumps, solar PV and MVHR. A landscape-led strategy softens the architecture within its setting and enhances biodiversity.
